Canada has one of the best universities in the world, various post graduate programs and schools. The most important step is to choose your program and school and receive a letter of acceptance from a designated learning institution (DLI). Most applicants also need a provincial or territorial attestation letter (PAL/TAL), which the school usually helps you obtain. Because study permits are capped each year, and your program can affect your options after graduation, such as a Post-Graduation Work Permit, it is best to plan early. If you need a guidance and assistance in that journey we are here to help.
To obtain a work permit, the initial step involves preparing a resume and sending it to either various companies or specific ones to secure a job offer. Once you have a job offer, your employer usually needs a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), or must confirm that the job is exempt from an LMIA, before you can apply for the work permit. Certain government programs cater to specific professionals. For detailed guidance, please reach out to us for a consultation.
