Business visitors are foreign nationals who come to Canada for short-term business activities, such as meetings, conferences or trade shows, without entering the Canadian labour market. There is no separate business visa: depending on your citizenship, you travel with a visitor visa or an electronic travel authorization (eTA), and you should carry documents that show the business purpose of your trip.

Visitors can stay for up to six months but must engage solely in permitted business activities without entering employment or performing services that would necessitate a work permit. While this visa allows entry into Canada for business purposes, it does not authorize the holder to work or seek employment
