PNP New Brunswick

New Brunswick, situated on Canada’s Atlantic coast, offers a variety of unique Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). These programs are specifically designed to attract and retain newcomers who can address workforce shortages and contribute significantly to the province’s economy and communities.

NEW BRUNSWICK HAS SEVERAL IMMIGRATION STREAMS, INCLUDING:

  • New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream
  • New Brunswick Express Entry Stream
  • New Brunswick Strategic Initiative (for French-speaking candidates)
  • New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream

All New Brunswick streams begin with an Expression of Interest (EOI). An EOI stays valid for 365 days, and submitting one does not guarantee an invitation. Only invited candidates can submit a complete nomination application. The former Entrepreneurial Stream has been replaced by the Business Immigration Stream, and the Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream and the Succession Connect pilot are no longer among the province’s listed streams.

New Brunswick

New Brunswick Express Entry Stream

The New Brunswick Express Entry Stream is designed to target skilled workers in the federal Express Entry pool who can contribute to the province’s economy.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

  • Be between 19 and 55 years old
  • Have a valid profile in the federal Express Entry pool
  • Have at least a Canadian high school diploma or its foreign equivalent
  • Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 7 (CLB 7) in all four language skills
  • Have at least one (1) year of continuous work experience within the past 10 years in one NOC occupation in TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3
  • Score at least 67 out of 100 points on the New Brunswick selection factor grid
  • Meet the requirements of one of these pathways:
  • Employment in New Brunswick: have lived and worked full-time in New Brunswick for the past 12 months in TEER 0 to 3 positions, and currently work full-time in a non-seasonal TEER 0 to 3 position for an employer that has operated in New Brunswick for the past 24 months
  • New Brunswick Interest: have received a letter of interest from New Brunswick in their federal Express Entry profile, and meet the federal proof of funds requirement

New Brunswick

New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream

The New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream has replaced the former Entrepreneurial Stream. It is designed to target experienced entrepreneurs who want to move to New Brunswick and start or buy a business there.

If the application is approved, the candidate signs a Business Performance Agreement, applies for a work permit and comes to New Brunswick to open the business. After operating the business for at least six months under the agreement, the candidate may request a provincial nomination for permanent residence.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

  • Be between 19 and 59 years old
  • Have at least a Canadian high school diploma or its foreign equivalent
  • Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) in all four language skills
  • Have at least two (2) years of qualifying business experience within the last five (5) years, as the owner of at least 51% of a private company or as a senior manager in a for-profit business, managing day-to-day operations and supervising at least two employees
  • Have a personal net worth of at least $500,000 CAD ($300,000 CAD for an investment in the agriculture sector)
  • Submit a business plan with at least $150,000 CAD in eligible investments that creates at least one (1) full-time job
  • Score at least 65 out of 100 points on the selection factor grid

New Brunswick

New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream

The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream is designed to target foreign workers with the skills New Brunswick needs who have the support of a New Brunswick employer.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must::

  • Be at least 19 years old
  • Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) in all four language skills
  • Have the support of an employer that has been actively operating in New Brunswick for the past 24 months, in a job that meets New Brunswick's NOC and legal requirements
  • Meet the requirements of one of these pathways:
  • New Brunswick Experience: work full-time in a non-seasonal job for the supporting employer, with at least six months of full-time experience with that employer; have lived in New Brunswick for the past six months; and have at least a high school diploma
  • New Brunswick Graduates: have completed a program eligible for a post-graduation work permit at a designated learning institution in New Brunswick; work in, or have accepted, a full-time, non-seasonal job with the supporting employer; and have lived in New Brunswick for the past six months
  • New Brunswick Priority Occupations: have accepted a full-time, non-seasonal job offer that results directly from a recruitment mission led by the Government of New Brunswick, in one of the province's priority occupations; have at least one year of related paid work experience; and have at least a high school diploma

New Brunswick

New Brunswick Strategic Initiative

The New Brunswick Strategic Initiative is designed to target French-speaking candidates who want to live and work in New Brunswick and who have the skills, education and work experience to support the province’s economy.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must::

  • Be at least 19 years old
  • Have at least a Canadian high school diploma or its foreign equivalent
  • Have a valid French language test score equal to NCLC 5 or higher in all four language skills
  • Have at least one (1) year of qualifying work experience within the past five (5) years (not required for graduates of a New Brunswick post-secondary institution)
  • Show proof of funds, unless they live in New Brunswick or have a valid job offer from a New Brunswick employer
  • Score at least 65 out of 100 points on the selection factor grid
  • Meet the requirements of one of its pathways: Francophone Workers in New Brunswick, New Brunswick Francophone Priorities, or Francophones Working Remotely in New Brunswick
