British Columbia
British Columbia Skills Immigration - BC Skilled Worker
The BC Skills Immigration – BC Skilled Worker stream is designed to target immigrants who have a job offer and a high likelihood of contributing to the BC labour force.
WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE START-UP VISA PROGRAM?
To meet the requirements of the Start-Up Visa Program, applicants must:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
- Have a valid job offer for full-time, permanent employment from a BC employer, for a position within NOC Code Level O, A, or B
- Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) if the job is NOC Level B (jobs at NOC Level 0 or A do not have any language proficiency requirements)
- Have at least two (2) years of work experience in the same occupation as the BC job offer
- Have qualifications required to perform the job in BC
- Have the financial resources to meet the settlement fund requirements, determined by the IRCC
British Columbia
BC Skills Immigration Stream - BC Healthcare Professional
The BC Skills Immigration – BC Healthcare Professional stream is designed to target immigrants with a job offer from a public health authority in BC, and who will make lasting contributions in the healthcare labour sector.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
- Have a valid job offer for full-time, permanent employment from a BC public health authority as a healthcare professional in one of the following occupations:
- Physician / Specialist Physician
- Registered Nurse / Registered Psychiatric Nurse
- Nurse Practitioner
- Allied Health Professionals
- Midwife
- Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) if the job is NOC Level B (jobs at NOC Level 0 or A do not have any language proficiency requirements)
- Have at least two (2) years of work experience in the same occupation as the BC job offer
- Have qualifications required to perform the job in BC
- Have the financial resources to meet the settlement fund requirements, determined by the IRCC
British Columbia
BC Skills Immigration Stream - BC International Graduate
The BC Skills Immigration – BC International Graduate stream is designed to target immigrants with a job offer for skilled employment, and who have completed post-secondary education in Canada.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
- Have a valid job offer for full-time, permanent employment from a BC employer, for a position at NOC Level 0, A, or B
- Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) if the job is NOC Level B (jobs at NOC Level 0 or A do not have any language proficiency requirements)
- Have completed a post-secondary educational credential in Canada in the past three (3) years
- Have at least two (2) years of work experience in the same occupation as the BC job offer
- Have qualifications required to perform the job in BC
- Have the financial resources to meet the settlement fund requirements, determined by the IRCC
British Columbia
BC Skills Immigration Stream - BC International Post-Graduate
The BC Skills Immigration – BC International Post-Graduate stream is designed to target immigrants recently completed graduate-level education from an eligible British Columbia educational institution.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
- Have completed a master’s or doctorate degree in British Columbia, from an eligible BC program at an eligible BC institution
- Have the financial resources to meet the settlement fund requirements, determined by the IRCC

BC Skills Immigration Stream - BC Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker
The BC Skills Immigration – BC Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker (ELSS) stream is designed to target immigrants with semi-skilled work experience in the province, along with a job offer from a BC employer.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
- Have a valid job offer for full-time, permanent employment from a BC employer, in a position at NOC Code C or D
- Have been working in British Columbia on a valid work permit for the last nine (9) months
- Have been working full-time, and in an occupation on the ELSS In-Demand Occupation List or an occupation in the Northeast Development Region of BC
- Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4)

BC Entrepreneur Immigration Stream - BC Entrepreneur
The BC Entrepreneur Immigration Stream – BC Entrepreneur stream is designed to target experienced business owner-managers or senior business managers who wish to live and own a business in BC.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
- Have at least post-secondary level education (exemptions permitted for applicants with three (3) years of experience as an active business owner-manager, with 100% ownership in the last five (5) years)
- Have sufficient work experience to successfully establish and run a business in British Columbia
- Have a personal net worth of at least $600,000 CAD, and make a minimum investment of $200,000 CAD into a BC business they will own, with at least one-third (33.33%) ownership of the business
- If owning less than one-third of the business, applicants must invest a minimum of $1,000,000 CAD in an equity purchase
- Sign a performance agreement with the province
British Columbia
BC Entrepreneur Immigration Stream - BC Entrepreneur Regional Pilot
The BC Entrepreneur Immigration Stream – BC Entrepreneur Regional Pilot stream is designed to target experienced entrepreneurs who wish to invest in, own and manage a business in BC.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
- Travel to one of the participating communities to participate in an exploratory visit
- Be referred to the PNP by a participating community
- Submit a business proposal to establish a new business in a participating community, owning at least 51% of the business and creating at least one (1) full-time equivalent job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4)
- Have obtained a post-secondary educational credential or have experience as an active business owner-manager for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years with 100% ownership in the business
- Meet the minimum work experience criteria, being one of the following scenarios:
- 3+ years of experience as a business owner-manager; or
- 4+ years of experience as a senior manager; or
- 1+ year of experience as a business owner-manager and 2+ years of experience as a senior manager
- Have a personal net worth of at least $300,000 CAD, and make a minimum investment of $100,000 CAD into a BC business they will create
- Sign a performance agreement with the province
British Columbia
BC Entrepreneur Immigration Stream - BC Strategic Projects
The BC Entrepreneur Immigration Stream – BC Strategic Projects stream is designed to target well-established foreign companies who want to expand their operations in British Columbia. The foreign company can facilitate the immigration of up to five (5) key staff members through this stream.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE COMPANY
To be eligible for applying to this stream, companies must:
- Invest a minimum of $500,000 CAD in the new branch of operations in BC
- Create at least three (3) new jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents for each key staff member proposed
Additional eligibility requirements may be imposed depending on the nature of the company.
Note: Successful applicants to this stream typically have at least 150 staff members, with annual revenues of at least $20,000,000 CAD
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE KEY STAFF MEMBERS
To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
- Be qualified senior personnel, essential to the organization
- Create at least three (3) new jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents for each key staff member proposed

BC Tech Pilot
The BC Tech Pilot is designed to target candidates with job offers in high-demand Information Technology (IT) occupations to apply for provincial nomination with expedited processing through the BC PNP.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
- Be registered for one of the BC Skills Immigration programs
- Work in one of the 29 in-demand technology occupations, identified as in-demand by the BC PNP. These NOC Codes include:
- 0131 Telecommunication carriers managers
- 0213 Computer and information systems managers
- 0512 Managers - publishing, motion pictures, broadcasting and performing arts
- 2131 Civil engineers
- 2132 Mechanical engineers
- 2133 Electrical and electronics engineers
- 2134 Chemical engineers
- 2147 Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)
- 2171 Information systems analysts and consultants
- 2172 Database analysts and data administrators
- 2174 Computer programmers and interactive media developers
