Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry

The Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry stream is designed to target newcomers with work experience in Nova Scotia who can integrate into the country’s workforce long-term.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

Have at least one (1) year of full-time work experience or the equivalent in part-time experience, from working in a position at NOC Code Level 0, A, or B, for an employer in Nova Scotia
Have a valid language test scores in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 7 (CLB 7) if work experience was in NOC 0 or A, or Level 5 (CLB 5) if work experience was in NOC B
Have the equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma

Nova Scotia Skilled Worker

The Nova Scotia Skilled Worker stream is designed to target highly-skilled foreign workers to fill gaps in the province’s labour force.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

Speak English or French as a first language if applying with a job offer at NOC skill level 0, A, or B
Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 5 (CLB 5) if the job is NOC Level O, A, or B
Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) if the job is NOC Level C or D

Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia Physicians

The Nova Scotia Physicians stream is designed to target highly skilled foreign doctors who can fill labour shortages in the province’s health sector.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

Have a valid job offer from one of the eligible health sector employers in Nova Scotia, for a position at NOC Code 3111 (specialist physician) or 3112 (general practitioner or family physician)
Express the intent to live and work in Nova Scotia for at least 2 years
Have proof of educational/medical credentials
Qualify for the federal Express Entry pool, via eligibility for one (1) of the federal economic immigration programs:

Nova Scotia Entrepreneur

The Nova Scotia Entrepreneur stream is designed to target experienced business owners or senior business managers who want to live and establish a business in Nova Scotia.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

Have a valid language test scores in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 5 (CLB 5)
Have at least three (3) years of business ownership experience, or five (5) years of senior business management experience
Have a personal net worth of at least $600,000 CAD, and invest at least $150,000 CAD in a business in Nova Scotia, which they will establish and manage

Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur

The Nova Scotia International Graduate Entrepreneur stream is designed to target recent graduates of a Nova Scotian educational institution, who have already started or bought a business in the province and operated it for at least one (1) year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)
Have graduated from a Nova Scotia university or community college with a degree or diploma, with a minimum of two (2) years of full-time study
Have owned and managed a business in Nova Scotia for at least one (1) year, possessing one-third ownership of the business
Have a valid language test scores in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 7 (CLB 7)

Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities

The Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream is designed to target highly-skilled foreign workers with experience in the province’s in-demand occupations, and those proficient in Nova Scotia’s priority languages.

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

Nova Scotia Occupations In Demand

The Nova Scotia Occupations In Demand stream is designed to target workers with a job offer from a Nova Scotian employer operating in an in-demand field.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

Have the equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma
Have a valid offer of employment from a Nova Scotia employer for a permanent, full-time position in NOC 3413 (nurses aides, orderlies and patient service associates), NOC 7511 (transport truck drivers), NOC 7521 (Heavy equipment operators (except crane)), or NOC 7611 (Construction trades helpers and labourers)
Have a valid language test scores in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4)
Have a minimum of 1 year of work experience related to the position
