Immigrate to Prince Edward Island (PEI) as an Entrepreneur

Are you interested in immigrating to Prince Edward Island (PEI) and running your own business? Through the Work Permit Stream of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP), eligible entrepreneurs can obtain a nomination for permanent residency while investing in and operating a business in PEI.

This stream is designed for foreign nationals with extensive management or business ownership experience who want to establish their business in PEI and eventually become permanent residents of Canada.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE WORK PERMIT STREAM:

To qualify for nomination under this stream, you must meet the following criteria:

How to Apply

  1. CREATE A PROFILE:

    If you meet the eligibility criteria, start by creating a profile in the Prince Edward Island Expression of Interest (EOI) system. Your profile will be valid for six months, and you should ensure that all the information is accurate and verifiable.

  2. RECEIVE AN INVITATION:

    If selected, you will receive an invitation to apply via email with instructions for completing your application.

  3. WORK PERMIT APPLICATION:

    Upon approval, you will receive a letter of support from PEI for a work permit. It is your responsibility to submit this along with your work permit application toImmigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

  4. MOVE TO PEI:

    Once your work permit is approved, you must relocate to PEI and start your business.

  5. NOMINATION AND PERMANENT RESIDENCY:

    After fulfilling the terms of your Performance Agreement, you will be issued a nomination certificate. You can then submit your Application for Permanent Residency to IRCC, which will assess your application for admissibility.
