Saskatchewan, situated in Western Canada’s prairie region, is known for being rich in agriculture and natural resources. It hosts two major Canadian cities, being Regina and Saskatoon, and is a rapidly growing province. Saskatchewan offers a variety of immigration pathways through its Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), aimed at attracting foreign skilled workers who wish to immigrate and contribute to the province’s economy.

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker – Express Entry

The Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker – Express Entry stream is designed to target applicants from the federal Express Entry pool who have high skilled work experience in an occupation that is not listed on the SINP Excluded Occupation List.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

  • Be registered in the federal Express Entry pool, via eligibility for one (1) of the federal economic immigration programs:
  • the Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • the Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • the Canadian Experience Class
  • Have at least the equivalent of a Canadian one-year post-secondary diploma
  • Have the education required to perform the in-demand occupation in which they have experience
  • Have at least one year of continuous work experience in an eligible occupation at NOC Level 0, A, or B
  • Have a letter of invitation in their skilled trade from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship & Trade Certification Commission
  • Score at least 60 points on the SINP Points Assessment Grid
  • Have the financial resources to meet the settlement fund requirements, determined by the IRCC

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker – Employment Offer

The Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker – Employment Offer stream is designed to target applicants with a valid job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Have an offer of employment from a Saskatchewan employer for a position at NOC Level 0, A, or B, or in a designated trade
  • Have a Letter of Offer from the employer, as well as a Job Approval Letter from SINP
  • Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4)
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience within the past 10 years, in the same occupation as the Saskatchewan job offer
  • Have the licensing or certification required to perform that job
  • Score at least 60 points on the SINP Points Assessment Grid
  • Have the financial resources to meet the settlement fund requirements, determined by the IRCC

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker – In-Demand Occupation

The Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker – In-Demand Occupation stream is designed to target applicants who have experience in one of Saskatchewan’s in-demand occupations.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

  • Have at least the equivalent of a Canadian one-year post-secondary diploma
  • Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4)
  • Have a minimum of one (1) year, full time work experience in a high-skilled occupation at NOC level 0, A, or B, that does not appear on the SINP Excluded Occupations List
  • Score at least 60 points on the SINP Points Assessment Grid
  • Have the financial resources to meet the settlement fund requirements, determined by the IRCC

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Experience – Existing Work Permit

The Saskatchewan Experience – Existing Work Permit stream is designed to target applicants who have a valid job offer from a Saskatchewan employer, and have already been working for that same employer for the six months prior to applying.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:

  • Already be in Saskatchewan working for an employer on a valid work permit
  • Have been working for the employer for at least the 6 months prior to application, in the same position as the job offer
  • Have at least the equivalent of a Canadian one-year post-secondary diploma
  • Have a job offer from the employer for a full-time position, at NOC Level 0, A, or B, or in a designated trade occupation
  • Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) if the job is NOC Level C (jobs at NOC Level 0, A, or B do not have any language proficiency requirements)

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Experience – Health Professionals

The Saskatchewan Experience – Health Professionals stream is designed to target doctors, nurses, and other health professionals already employed in Saskatchewan who have offers for continued employment in their healthcare fields.  There are separate program requirements depending on a person’s occupation and job offer.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PHYSICIANS

To be eligible for applying to this stream as a Physician, applicants must:
  • Already be in Saskatchewan working for an employer on a valid work permit
  • Have been working for the employer for at least the 6 months prior to application, in the same position as the job offer
  • Have at least the equivalent of a Canadian one-year post-secondary diploma
  • Have a job offer from the employer for a full-time position, at NOC Level 0, A, or B, or in a designated trade occupation
  • Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) if the job is NOC Level C (jobs at NOC Level 0, A, or B do not have any language proficiency requirements)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NURSES

To be eligible for applying to this stream as a Nurse, applicants must:
  • Already be in Saskatchewan working as a nurse with a valid work permit
  • Have at least six (6) months of experience working full-time in a NOC Code for licensed or registered nurses, for a provincial health authority in Saskatchewan
  • Have been working for a provincial health authority for at least the 6 months prior to application
  • Have a valid job offer from the same employer for a full time position in a NOC Code for licensed or registered nurses
  • Have the educational equivalent to a Canadian nursing degree
  • Have proper licensing from one of these associations:
  • Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses (SALPN)
  • Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
  • Saskatchewan Registered Nurses’ Association (SRNA)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR HEALTH PROFESSIONALS

To be eligible for applying to this stream a health professional, applicants must:

  • Already be in Saskatchewan working in a health care occupation with a valid work permit
  • Have at least six (6) months of experience working full-time in NOC Code 0, A, B, or C, for a provincial health authority in Saskatchewan
  • Have been working for a provincial health authority for at least the 6 months prior to application
  • Have a valid job offer from the same employer for a full time position in a NOC Code 0, A, B, or C Have the educational equivalent to a Canadian nursing degree
  • Have proper licensing from one of the recognized associations
  • Have at least one year of post-secondary education or job specific training
  • Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) if the job is NOC Level C (jobs at NOC Level 0, A, or B do not have any language proficiency requirements)

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Experience – Hospitality Sector Project

The Saskatchewan Experience – Hospitality Sector Project stream is designed to target doctors, nurses, and other health professionals already employed in Saskatchewan’s hospitality sector, and have a valid job offer to continue their work.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
  • Already be working in Saskatchewan on a valid work permit
  • Have been working for the employer in the same in-demand occupation of their job offer, for at least 6 months prior to application
  • Have a valid language test score in English, equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) or higher
  • Have at least a Canadian high school diploma or a foreign equivalent

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Experience – Long-Haul Truck Driver Project

The Saskatchewan Experience – Long-Haul Truck Driver Project stream is designed to target truck drivers currently working in Saskatchewan, with valid job offers from their current employer.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
  • Already be working in Saskatchewan on a valid temporary foreign work permit, as a long-haul truck driver in NOC Code 7511
  • Have been working for the employer for at least the 6 months prior to application, in the same job
  • Have a valid job offer from the same employer for a full-time, permanent position in the same job
  • Have a valid language test score in English, equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) or higher

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Experience – Students

The Saskatchewan Experience – Students stream is designed to target international students who have recently graduated from a Canadian educational institution and have 6 months of experience working in the province.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
  • Have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan, with a certificate, a diploma, or a degree
  • Have at least one (1) year of post-secondary level education obtained in the province of Saskatchewan.
  • Have at least 6 months of full-time, paid work experience obtained in Saskatchewan
  • Hold a valid post-graduation work permit, authorizing their work in Canada
  • Have a valid job offer for a full-time, permanent position in their field of study and from a Saskatchewan employer
  • Have a valid language test score in either English or French equal to Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4 (CLB 4) if the job is NOC Level C (jobs at NOC Level 0, A, or B do not have any language proficiency requirements)

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Entrepreneur and Farm - Entrepreneur

The Saskatchewan Entrepreneur and Farm – Entrepreneur stream is designed to target experienced business owners or senior business managers who want to live and own a business in the province.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
  • Have at least three (3) years of work experience as a business manager or entrepreneur
  • Have a minimum net worth of at least $500,000 CAD
  • Invest a minimum of $300,000 CAD if the location of the proposed business is in Regina or Saskatoon, or $200,000 CAD if the location of the proposed business in outside of those 2 cities
  • Develop a Business Establishment Plan (BEP) explaining how they will establish and invest in the Saskatchewan business

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan Entrepreneur and Farm - Entrepreneur

The Saskatchewan Entrepreneur and Farm – Entrepreneur stream is designed to target experienced business owners or senior business managers who want to live and own a business in the province.

To be eligible for applying to this stream, applicants must:
  • Have at least three (3) years of work experience as a business manager or entrepreneur
